Pentecost Power: The Name, Blood, and Spirit of Jesus

This is a sermon from the 22nd of May 2026 at Jesus my Rock Church in Kuala Lumpur.
Matt teaches that Jesus invites the thirsty to come for “living water,” identifying this as the Holy Spirit and connecting the message to Pentecost as a reminder of Spirit-empowered power and faith that rests in God’s power, not human wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:4-5).
Citing Hebrews 12 and Ephesians 1, he emphasises fixing eyes on Jesus and the immeasurable power available to believers, stating Christians are not powerless and are given three tools: the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
Matt shares his testimony of deliverance from a violent, drug-addicted past and describes missionary experiences and miracles, including healings, wind changing direction during a crusade, and supernatural protection in a car incident. He urges believers to apply Christ’s finished work, walk in love, receive fresh infilling, and believe God for provision and greater things.
